Does it cost me anyting to participate?
No. The Affiliate programs that we have established with the top retailers will not cost you anything. All you do is use the links on this website to start shopping. It’s best if you click the “Save to my desktop” button so you can continue using the Affiliate links when you shop.
Why are you a "For Profit" company vs a Nonprofit?
Because we are a Corporation and not a nonprofit, we have the flexibility to have a successful business like any other business, using any means possible. We do not have the same restrictions as a traditional nonprofit.
How do I know if the profits that c-matters makes goes to the causes outlined on this website?
c-matters has bylaws that specifically restrict anyone from taking profits from the company. All profits must be distributed to people and organizations that are listed on this website. We use a 3rd party Auditing firm to publicly disclose the income, expenses and distribution of profits.
What percent of income can be earned by me using Affiliate links?
Depending on the products you purchase, the retailer that is offering the Affiliate relationship and the negotiated rates we have, the percent of income varies from .01% to 10%, with an estimated average being 2%.
How do you help Nonprofits raise money at no cost to them?
We partner with Nonprofits by offering a list of Affiliate links to the most common retailers. The Nonprofits distribute these links to the members and supporters of their organization. We then track all affiliate commissions from sales and give 40% of the amount earned back to the Nonprofit. The remainder of the 60% is distributed to the organizations you see on this website and to cover the hard expenses of c-matters, which are kept to a minimum.
